Leica M11 to be Announced on January 13th

According to the latest rumors from LR, the new Leica M11 is scheduled to be officially announced on January 13th, 2022. Leica Store Los Angeles has already scheduled a “Special Unveiling Event” for Thursday, January 13, 2022, from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm PST.

Below are the rumored specifications of Leica M11:

  • New 60MP sensor (variable resolution in RAW: 50MP/36MP/15MP)
  • No baseplate (setup like the Leica Q2)
  • 64GB internal memory
  • No IBIS
  • Tethering support
  • The focus button moved to the top
  • USB-C support
  • Wi-Fi (5GHz/2.4GHz), Bluetooth support
  • New Leica BP-SCL7 battery
  • New Leica BC-SCL7 charger
  • A new Visoflex is expected that should also be compatible with current Leica M10 models
  • The Leica M11 camera is most likely be the already registered Leica model 2416
  • The M11 should be a substantial step forward from the current M10 models (not sure about the details and what exactly this means)
  •  A new Leica M camera with a built-in EVF is still a possibility
  •  The official announcement is expected on January 13th,  2022
