Canon has just officially announced the new Canon EOS R5 (Amazon/ B&H/ Adorama). It is Canon’s flagship full-frame mirrorless camera in 2020, featuring an all-new, Canon-developed 45MP CMOS sensor with in-body image stabilization, the Dual Pixel AF II system with 1053 AF points across the entire frame, shooting bursts at 20 fps with its electronic shutter and 12 fps with the mechanical shutter, both with continuous AF. Sony has just officially announced the new Sony A7C. It is a compact full-frame mirrorless camera, featuring a 24MP sensor and 5-axis image stabilization, the same hybrid autofocus system as higher-end models, with “Real-time Tracking” and Eye AF for both humans and animals, 4K footage at 30p (with a 1.6x crop) and 24p, HLG and S-Log2/3, Slow & Quick motion, Full HD / 120 fps capture, and a 3.5mm mic input but no headphone socket. Panasonic has just officially announced the new Panasonic Lumix DC-S5. It is a hybrid stills/video camera, featuring a 24MP full-frame sensor, using the L-mount developed with Sigma and Leica, 5-axis image stabilization, a high-res mode with the IS system to produce 96MP images with much higher levels of detail, a fully articulating LCD with 1.84 million dots and a large EVF with 2.36M dots.
