In January 2019, Sony announced the new Sony A6400 (Amazon/ B&H/ Adorama). It is a mid-range mirrorless camera, featuring a 24.2MP APS-C sensor, 425 phase-detect points auto focus, ‘Real-time Eye AF’ and 11 fps with continuous AF. Sony A6400 has only one SD card slot that supports UGS-I SD memory cards, so if you make full use of Sony A6400 for 4K video, you must have a fast SD memory card.
Sony Alpha a7S III is expected to be announced before October 2019. According to the latest rumors from SR1, this new camera will have an 8K 60P 10bit 422 low light powerhouse. The delay on the camera is because it takes time to develop the new XEVC 8K codec. IMX435+ SLVS-EC + XEVC = mirrorless revolution.
