I’m prepping for a cross-country road trip through the Pacific Northwest next month and I’m super stoked to burn through some film! I’ve been obsessed with the look of Portra 400, but I’m trying to figure out what other stocks I should pack to complement it—or maybe just some cheaper alternatives since my budget is getting a bit tight after booking flights. I read on a few blogs that Gold 200 is a decent "budget" cousin, but others claim it looks way too yellow compared to Portra’s greens. I’m just not sure if the color science holds up for landscape shots. Also, should I stick to 400 ISO or try 100 for the coast? What do you guys think?

I am no expert, but I just went through this exact research process last week for my own trip. What is your actual budget per roll, and are you set on 35mm or shooting medium format?
