Canon Rumors: an EOS R7 V is in the pipeline. Window is Q4 2027 or Q1 2028. No specs.

  • Sits after the R7 Mark II, still pegged at Q1 2027. CR is sitting on Mark II spec tips it does not trust yet
  • R7 V reportedly on internal roadmap presentations. The only other body named there: EOS R10 Mark II, which CR puts in early 2027
  • V line so far is the R6 V and R50 V. CR says both are well received and “meeting sales expectations” — then tells you to take that with a grain of salt. A few retailers say the R6 V is selling
  • CR does not expect the R8 Mark II design on the R7 Mark II
  • “V-series” lenses, in CR’s reading, means more Z and PZ glass. Two PZ lenses exist today. No new focal lengths in this post

The picture is an unofficial mockup, and the badge on it reads R50 V, not R7 V. Canon has not shown this camera.
