Canon Rumors says these are the first real EOS R8 Mark II photos — a Reddit dump that looks like FCC / certification shots, not Canon ads. CR: “These images are 100% real.” Still not an official reveal.
Yesterday’s mockup is the one people called “too Sony.” This set has EOS R8 Mark II printed on the top plate.

Visible in the leak set:
- Top branding: EOS R8 Mark II
- Rear joystick up by the EVF (CR compares it to the R7 and is not thrilled)
- Vari-angle screen, AF-ON, Q/SET wheel
- Mode dial with Fv, SCN, C1–C3, S&F; M-Fn; stills/video switch
- Card moved to a side door; battery door on the base still says BATT. OPEN (rumor list is still one SD, LP-E17)
- Micro-HDMI, USB-C, mic, remote — CR’s writer already has the spare micro-HDMI cables out
- One live-view frame shows 1/16000 and ISO 102400 with an electronic-shutter icon

The spec table CR pasted under the gallery is the same unofficial sheet: 24MP, 40fps e-shutter, no mechanical shutter, 20fps pre-shoot, 7.5-stop IBIS, 4K/60p, $1,799 / €1,879, September 15 in NYC, October shipping. Photos do not prove IBIS or the 3D-from-2D trick. Full list: the leak sheet.
