Along with Canon’s flagship Canon EOS R1 and Canon EOS R5 Mark II, Canon will also announce another Aps-c mirrorless camera: Canon EOS R7 Mark II. According to CR, it looks like 2024 will be the year of Canon camera!
The current Canon EOS R7 (Amazon/ B&H/ Adorama) is a great camera, but in our opinion the R7’s successor should move to a slightly higher class of market. We think Canon should equip APS-C cameras with stacked sensors in the future.
Canon EOS R7 was released in June 2022, less than two years have passed, so if a successor comes out this year, it will be a fairly early model change, but from the EOS R6 to the EOS R6 Mark II. Maybe they will change the model soon as well.
There are no rumors regarding the specs of the EOS R7 Mark II, but maybe it should be equipped with a stacked sensor and move to a slightly higher class. If Canon EOS R7 Mark II becomes such a model, will its rivals be Fujifilm X-H2S or the rumored Nikon high-end APS-C camera (Nikon Z90?)?
