This is the first images of the upcoming Sony A9 II, leaked at the SR5. This new camera is expected to be announced in October.
From the image, we can see there is not so much difference between Sony A9 II and the newly released Sony a7R IV (Amazon/ B&H/ Adorama). The Sony a9’s “Focus mode dial lock release button” are gone on the new Sony a9 II.
Rumored specifications of Sony α9 II:
- to be announced at the same time as PhotoPlus in October (24-26 October).
- Same body as α7R IV with a dial on the left shoulder.
- A big evolution is in the camera, a new generation of sensors is adopted and AF is improved.
- Unconfirmed information: The sensor pixel count may be 36MP.
