According to the latest rumors from pentaxforums, Pentax will soon release a new firmware update version V1.40 for the new Full-Frame FlagShip Pentax K-1 camera.
The new version adds the following improvements:
- Red-Light function for LCDscreen-helps the photographer when working in dark environments because it prevents the pupil constriction.
- Bulb Timer allows photographer to extend exposure time up to 20 minutes when photographing celestial objects or Fireworks.
- Noise reduction processing for white dots.
- Generally improved software for stable operation
