Nikon Z9 is now listed at B&H. According to the latest rumors from NR, this new camera is scheduled to be announced in November/ December 2021.
The rumored specifications of Nikon Z9 are as follows.
- Newly developed high-resolution stacked FX sensor.
- There is no official plan for Z8 yet
- Nikon admits that Z9 is better than D6
- Continuous shooting is 20 frames per second
- Multi-shot mode
- 16bit RAW

- New EXPEED processor designed for 8K
- Improved AF (subject recognition AF)
- Amazing AF tracking (better than D6)
- Two XQD / CF Express slots
- ISO64-25600, Hi1, Hi2
- Improved noise level and significantly improved dynamic range
- High resolution blackout free EVF. Probably 5.76 million dots or 9 million dots, 120Hz refresh rate (resolution decreases with increasing refresh rate)
- New user interface (no second monitor on the back like the D6)
- New battery: EN-EL18x
- Gbit LAN, USB-C, Wi-Fi, GPS
