Nikon Just Registered N2528 in China — That’s Three Unreleased Cameras on the Books

Nikon N2528 China CMIIT registration

Make it three. Nikon Rumors says a new China wireless filing just landed for N2528 (CMIIT 26J99NA7E003, dated August 24, 2026). That is the third unreleased Nikon body on the MIIT list after N2324 (April 7) and N2527 (April 24).

No product name. No sensor. No price. Just another internal code that now has a radio certificate.

Nikon N2528 filing

What is actually on paper:

  • N2324 — 26J99NA7E001 / approval 2026-5961 — April 7
  • N2527 — 26J99NA7E002 / approval 2026-8018 — April 24
  • N2528 — 26J99NA7E003 — August 24, same Wi-Fi/Bluetooth module expected

The radio is the tell. Nikon Rumors says this is the dual-band 5.1/2.4 GHz kit from the Z50 II / Z5 II / Zf class — not a flagship tri-band radio. So if you were hoping this filing is the Z9 II, the wireless hardware argues against it.

Nikon N2324 and N2527 already registered

NR still has a five-camera rumor board (Z9 II, a stripped-down full-frame ILC, a compact full-frame fixed-lens, a point-and-shoot, an APS-C Z). Those names are not printed on the CMIIT forms. Typical gap from a China filing to an announcement: 3–6 months, which would put N2528 in late 2026 or early 2027 — same fog as the pipeline-delay report.
