Mason Resnick has just posted a review of the new released Canon PowerShot G3 X. This new camera is Canon’s First Posh Superzoom Compact, bringing with it a hot shoe and, importantly, a super zoom 24-600mm —the first lens of its kind to adorn a G-series compact.
Conclusion from Adorama:”The Canon PowerShot G3-X, available now from Adorama for $999, is in many ways the most powerful G-series camera to date. The sensor and image processing power is impressive, and the long-range zoom lens, coupled with the camera’s effective image stabilization, yields good, sharp images that approach DSLRs in quality. Its large touchscreen is intuitive and its focus is fast and reliable…The G3-X is an outstanding travel companion that can also handle action, portraits, macro and many other photographic projects, and is a good bring-along camera when you don’t want to bring your big DSLR rig…”
