Panasonic to Have 8K Video Sensor by 2018


Panasonic is working on the development of 8K Video sensors and this will cost them over $80 million! They halted their 8K plans back in 2011, but now they continue. It is expected to bring this new technologies to consumer level cameras by 2018 (two years earlier than previous plans).

According to the PR,  Panasonic is still behind the latest full frame sensor found in the Leica Q camera.
