Fujifilm X-M5 Announced, Priced $799, Available for Pre-Order

Fujifilm has just officially announced the new Fujifilm X-M5. This new camera costs $799, first available for Pre-Order at B&H/ Adorama.

Fujifilm X-M5 is the newest entry in the company’s APS-C mirrorless camera lineup, positioned as the most affordable option currently available. It features Fujifilm’s last-generation 26MP X-Trans sensor, which is also utilized in models such as the X-T4 and X-100V. However, it is equipped with the latest X-Processor 5, which enables AI-powered subject detection autofocus.

Key features include:

  • 26MP X-Trans BSI CMOS sensor
  • X-Processor 5 with AI-powered subject detection autofocus
  • On-sensor phase detection
  • Fully articulated 3-inch, 1.04M-dot LCD
  • 20 Film Simulation modes, including Reala ACE
  • Continuous shooting up to 8 frames per second (30fps with electronic shutter and a 1.25x crop)
  • 6.2K video at a 3:2 aspect ratio at 30 frames per second; 4K video at up to 60 frames per second with crop
  • External microphone input and 3.5mm headphone socket
  • Single UHS-I card slot
  • Battery life rated for up to 330 frames (or 440 frames in Eco mode) per charge

Additionally, Fujifilm will offer a kit that includes the X-M5 and the XC15-45mmF3.5-5.6 OIS PZ lens for $899. While the lens may not be the most optically impressive, its compact size and competitive pricing make it a suitable match for this camera.
