Reliable sources have confirmed that OM Digital will be announcing three new products at 6 AM. London time on January 30th, 2024:
- OM-1 Mark II
- 9-18mm Mark II
- 150-600mm F5-6.3 lens
Let’s take a look at the details, the OM-1 II uses the same sensor and image processing engine as the current OM-1. The changes would be as follows:
- Rebranded as OM SYSTEM
- Built-in buffer memory is doubled
- 14bit RAW for high resolution mode
- AI recognition of people
- Better AF system
The OM-1 II should cost 2,400 euros (slightly more than $2,000 in the US). Details of the 9-18mm II are unknown, but it is likely a rebranded version of the current 9-18mm.
