Fujifilm has just officially announced the new Fujifilm X-T3. It is an enthusiast SLR-style mirrorless camera with a new 26MP BSI CMOS X-Trans sensor and updated hybrid AF system with 425 phase-detect points and nearly 100% coverage. It also has a 3.69M-dot electronic viewfinder with a large 0.75x magnification as well as a touchscreen LCD that tilts on two axes. Canon has just officially announced Canon EOS R. It is Canon’s first full-frame mirrorless camera, featuring a 30.3MP CMOS sensor with Dual Pixel AF and an ISO range of 100-40000 (expandable to 50-102400), record both 14-bit (CRW) and compressed (C-RAW) formats, continuous shooting at 8 fps in single AF and 5 fps with continuous AF, Dual Pixel AF system and a 3.69M-dot OLED electronic viewfinder with a 0.76x magnification, as well as a 3.2″, 2.1M-dot fully-articulating touchscreen LCD. This is the first image of the new Canon full-frame mirrorless camera EOS R, leaked at the Nokishita-Camera. This new camera is expected to be officially announced very soon with four new RF lenses: RF 35mm F1.8 Macro IS STM, RF 50mm F1.2L USM, RF 28-70mm F2L USM and RF 24-105mm F4L IS USM lens. Mark Goldstein has just tested the newly announced Canon PowerShot SX740 HS (Amazon/ B&H/ Adorama) and posted a full review at the PhotographyBlog.com. This new compact camera is not so good as expected. It’s just a shame that there are a few things missing for it to be considered more seriously by enthusiast photographers.
