CAPA CAMERA WEB posted the best selling products of Yodobashi Camera’s interchangeable lens digital cameras in the first half of May 2022.  Sony a7 IV (Amazon/ B&H/ Adorama) wins the top 1 position, followed by Canon EOS R6 (B&H/ Adorama/ Amazon).

Data collection period: May 1 to May 15,2022

• The first place is Sony a7 IV, which has returned to the top position since the first half of March. Since there are only Sony with abundant models, the last time it was Sony a7 III and the last time it was Sony a7S III, showing a feat of maintaining the top while switching models. It seems that the supply shortage has not been resolved yet, but it will be interesting to see if Sony will take the top spot next time.
• As in the last time, the Canon team is showing good performance with three models ranked in the top five. Whether it will take the lead by taking advantage of this momentum, it seems that we cannot take our eyes off the future battle for the lead.
• Nikon had two models in the top 10 last time, but this time four models are ranked in, with the 6th place Nikon Z9 at the top.

Sony a7 IV, which was out of the rank due to lack of supply last time, will be ranked first when it arrives, so it seems that it continues to be highly popular. Sony is in a situation where orders for popular models such as the Sony a7C and ZV-E10 have been suspended, but it is amazing that the remaining models have been replaced and maintained the top position.

Canon can’t take the lead, but Canon EOS R6 / R5 are stable and continue to rank high. Nikon really gained momentum, considering that there were times when four models, including Nikon Z9, were ranked in, and at one point they weren’t ranked at all.
